1. Distance between dry net and stabilizer related components

If the distance between the dry net and the stabilizer is less than 5mm, a small positive pressure will be generated in the area between them, causing the paper to wrinkle, especially the paper edge to float. Usually, if there are no other special requirements on the paper, the blowing width of the stabilizer is about 60mm less than the width of the surface of the drying cylinder. The width of the wire mesh should be about 20-60mm wider than the blowing width of the stabilizer, otherwise negative pressure will not be generated at the edges to cause the paper edge to float. The width of the paper page should be smaller than the blowing width of the stabilizer, with at least 20mm on both sides. Otherwise, the edge blowing will generate small positive pressure below the dry net in the direction of the edge nozzle blowing, causing the edge of the excessively wide paper page to float.

2. Blowing air flow rate and pressure

Insufficient blowing air flow can result in insufficient vacuum in the relevant area between the dry net and stabilizer, causing wrinkling and other operational issues on the paper. However, excessive blowing air flow can also be harmful to the operation of the paper, causing the edges of the paper to float, especially making it difficult to guide the paper. Based on experience, in general, the total gas supply pressure for 2000 and 4000 is 7000Pa, the static pressure is 6700Pa, and the gas flow rate is 1250m ³/ H/㎡; The total suction pressure of 4000 is -5000Pa, and the air flow rate is 600m ³/ H/㎡.

Too low or too high surface temperature of the drying cylinder can easily cause paper to stick to the cylinder, causing paper edges to stick and break or wrinkling during the opening process, and even paper breakage.

To ensure good operational performance of the paper stabilizer, the dry mesh must have an appropriate degree of breathability. If the air permeability is too low, it is insufficient to generate sufficient vacuum between the dry mesh and stabilizer; If the air permeability is too high, it is easy to generate harmful airflow. Normally, for paper machines with a speed exceeding 1500m/min, the air permeability of one set of dry nets is required to be 1500-1800, while the air permeability of other sets of dry nets is required to be 1800-2100 (in meters) ³/ H/㎡, 100Pa)

5. Paper banner moisture

Uneven moisture content in the horizontal banner of the paper can cause difficulties in adjusting the vacuum of the paper stabilizer during the opening process of paper feeding. 6. The influence of disturbed airflow inside the hood

The disturbance airflow inside the hood can cause the paper to leave the dry mesh, especially when the paper enters the drying section from the pressing section or from the vacuum roller to the next supply cylinder, resulting in severe paper edge drift or opening during the paper opening process.
